Fifty unique icons

In 2015–2016, Ekaterina Anisimova painted a series of fifty icons of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross for the 150th anniversary of the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Geneva.

Each icon was painted individually and is a unique work. The commemorative icons were presented to benefactors and church patrons of the cathedral. A decade later, surviving examples of the series have become rare witnesses to this anniversary chapter in the parish’s history.
